Alix Randall moved to Sandpoint without a job, without a place to live, and without a plan. She just knew the life she had built in Western Washington had started to feel wrong.

That was a few years ago. Since then she’s built a jewelry studio where couples make their own wedding bands, launched a new online brand called Golden North Co., coached at SSC, and logged close to 100 days on the mountain in her first real snowboard season — most of them full days, many of them alone, all of them proof that the same thing she learned in CrossFit applies everywhere: be willing to look like an idiot until you’re not.
