80 Days

No offense to all the wonderful teachers out there, but I think that one of the most impactful parts of my educational upbringing was learning that I could do pretty damn well by procrastinating until the very last minute.

I did really well with just the right amount of urgency, knowing that I’d be cutting it close, but I could definitely get it done.

In hindsight, I wouldn’t recommend this.  I think the slower, more methodical approach is definitely better, but that’s not the point of today’s email.

The point of today’s email is to remind you of that cold New Year’s Eve that occurred 285 days ago.  The one where you set your goals and intentions for the year.  The one where you might have had all sorts of expectations for the upcoming opportunities that a fresh calendar brings.

And unfortunately, if you’re like most people, it was just another one where your balloon full of grand plans was released into the air with all sorts of hope and optimism, only to explode a few weeks later when the realities of life started poking holes in it.

Well good news ladies and gentlemen, there is still time.

You too can have procrastinated all year, only to sprint your way to a triumphant finish.

As of right now, there are 80 days left in the year.

That’s plenty of time to get on your horse, bear down and accomplish all that you intended to, so that you can look those goals for 2025 in the face and know that you’ve conquered them in order to set brand new ones for 2026.

In fact, some of you may need exactly the urgency I did to get through school.  There is exactly just enough time to do all that you wanted, but not a minute more.

So what are you waiting for?  Let’s get going.

And if your goals for 2025 included fitness intentions, but so far you haven’t been able to figure it out on your own, it’s time to hire a coach who can talk you through your plan, hold you accountable to that plan and help you understand exactly what you need to do to sprint your way across the finish line of 2025.
